January 2009, I've been on a trip to Prague with a bunch of 9 other friends.
It's a rather torturing journey from Ukraine to Prague since back then, WIZZ AIR ( the Ukraine one and ONLY budget airline connecting Simferopol to other parts of the world, actually to be exact it isn't even Ukraine company, it is Hungarian airline) is still gamate, blastula, zygote or perhaps in the fertilization process ( sperm swimming towards the ovum??) whatever. This airline company saves many people asses from developing bedsore/ulcer/ necrotic tissue/ischemia........and the list goes on.
Why???
Because from Simferopol You'll need to get a 28 hours train to Lviv ( border of Ukraine) and take an overnight bus to Krakow , Poland to catch a transeuro train to Prague, Czech Republic.
It is a very very tiring journey and it take us freaking TWO days just to arrive. But now with Wizz air, you'll just need few hours and tadaaa... you are dancing in the middle of Wenceslas Square.
Me in the process of developing bed sores
See the guy beside me? He is so misereable because he didn't sleep for 2 days.
On the bus to Poland. Very uncomfortable bus. Don't take that bus or you'll regret!!
Train Station, Lviv.
We stayed in Euro Guesthouse for 21 Usd per night. It is centrally located in Wenceslar square. It is a shopping district and the whole place is full with restaurants , bar, shops and etc. It has it's own kitchen with supple supply of plates but too bad the oven is not functioning.
In Prague, Everywhere is just walking distant. Just walk and enjoy the scenary. There are many tours where you can find around Wenceslar square but I think it is sufficient to get a map and explore the places on your own.
But before that, I've the honoured to drop a "nuclear bomb" in the KFC not far for the place we stayed. sigh, it is just a curse that whenever I go, I'll have to bomb the toilet..... blame the bread I eat in the train lar....
Finally, we arrived in Prague. And this is us walking cheerfully out of the train station.Very sick of train rides already.
In Prague, you may opt to get the local currency via ATM machine rather than the money changer as they surcharged you 5 % additional for whatever tax and it is really not worth it!!

Beware as the vender will try to cheat you with the change as you are not familiar with the large amout of Crown . Just count properly and you'll be safe. RM 1= 50 Crown.
After the so not satisfying breakfast, we make our way to Bone church. It's in the outskirt of Prague and the best way to get there is by train.
Avoid sundays as all public transportation is closed and you'll have to walk all the way for a freaking 14 KM.
Bone church is a church decorated with human skeletons. This is because there was epidemic of Bubonic Plague which killed thousand and millions of people. So many died that there isn't sufficient space to bury them, so the architect was so brilliant enought to think of this idea. To read more, kindly refer to wikipedia.
Us in the train on our way to bone church.

The skeletone in the bone church.
