Egypt trip part 2..

After the wonderful snorkeling trip, it's time to explore some of the historical monuments in Egypt. Our 1st destination is Luxor, then we will be spending a night in Aswan and then we will head off to Abu Simbel.

From Hurghada to Luxor is around 4 hours journey by car then from Luxor to Aswan is another 4 hours and lastly to Abu Simbel is 2hours. That means, most of the time we will be in a the bus travelling.

Luxor is a city located in the southern Egypt, it is a city of agriculture, it's famous for it's sugar cane estate, there are sugar cane farm along the Nile river. Luxor is divided into the east and west bank also known as city of life and city of dead.East bank is the city of life as the sun rises on the east while west bank is the city of dead as the sun sets on the west. Therfore, east bank are paradise for thombs and west banks are for temples, economy and agriculture center. Cool huh, imagine 2000 B.C , there are this kind of city structure.

The sugar cane farm ..

The view upon sunrise..
Behind us is Nile river.
Valley of the Queens..
FYI: It's been buried underground to avoid thief and Bulgar, it is the tomb for the Queens and children.

The entrance of Queen Nefertari Thomb, but too bad it's closed.
This is Colossi Of Mammon.According to the tour guide, it will have sound when the wind blows at a correct direction. It is believed to be a guard for the thomb behind it.
Entrance to Karnak Temple, the world largest open museum.
My favorite part of Karnak Temple, pillars. Impressive.
There is even a lake inside the Temple.
It is believed that royal kids studied here 50 centuries ago.
Oblise, which represent Pyramid. *wondering, how could they cut such an acute angle 5000 years ago?*
Statue.. of Ramses.
We were cheated by our useless tour guide to go to some banana farm for 50 Egyptian pounds.
On top of a traditional banana house.
This is our room in the Nile cruise..
Our dinner in the cruise.
Our cruise...
Abu Simbel, the most magnificent temple in Egypt. It is craved on a mountain, but due to the flood of Nasser Lake, Unesco had shifted it uphill.
This is Queen Nefertari, Ramses beloved wife temple, he build this temple for his beloved wife. On the mountain, you can see the cravings of Ramses and his wife.
